From my previous Q1 post we didn't started all that well financially but I must save it is starting to pick up now. Below is a graph of our 1st quarter financials. We started off with a big dive with only 1 booking during the first month still having to pay mortgage to the bank. Big improvement for the month of Feb but in March we only had 9 days occupancy :(
Lets look at our preformance for Q2. We didn't do too well in April with only 13 days occupancy however we are starting to build the review profile aiming to get Superhost in July. The listing did well in May and June as we started to see profits :)
What has change since our initial hosting? We are a superhost now!
I still hate doing housekeeping after a guest leave. With the growth of bookings in the month of May and June which also meant that we had to clean our listing more, we clean our own house a lot less now.
Prospect of July, Aug and September is looking really good at this stage. Just secured a big value reservation for the month of September to close us off nicely. Hope to keep our superhost status at the end of the term!
